SURROUNDINGS
The region of the black architecture is one of the few spots around Madrid (only an hour and a half from the capital) not yet corrupted by human hands.
You will not find great museums and a wide offer of hotels, but you will find the beauty in every corner of these villages or at the peak Ocejón than with their 2048 meters watching these villages in their skirts and mark the slow pace of life of its inhabitants.
The beauty of these villages reside in the natural from the their buildings, were built with the materials they had at hand (slate, wood and adobe).
Moreover, this region is in the rural Romanesque route north of Guadalajara.
Although the main attraction of this area is the beechwood de Tejera Negra (the most southern of Europe), the region is sprinkled with leafy valleys, oak forests and ravines sculptured into the rock by rivers and streams.
